To tell it the short way 5 months ago I had entered my Thinkpad for a huge reparation after a devastating accident, without having a satisfactory solution by the service dealer (Lenovo`s third parties to tell the truth)..
As a last and desperate resource I wrote asking for help in the Lenovo´s Forum (Social media community) ... in a short time received only two answers !!! but what most effective ones... the first adviced me to write down to Mark Hopkins Social Media PM of Lenovo worldwide... very short and precise ... " tell the case to Mark Lenovo"
After mailing Mark, there is this second answer, this time from Mark .... " Tell me about your case and I will see what can I do for you" and OMG...9 days after this, my dear T60 is my my hands completely repaired!!!
This is astounding... you don´t know how many phone calls I received from two very cooperative and eficient Lenovo`s officials here in Colombia, if I were Lenovo´s Chairman it would happen the same way (without the first part of the saga of course...) Mr Veloza and Mr.Ruiz minute by minute and step by step supervised the process until last night when I had the problem solved. Yes, of course all the hardware was replaced by the first technician after a very long import process of the parts, only he was terrrible mistaken thinking that the problem was only of piece replacement.... and the soul of the laptop the Lenovo`s machine recognition and utilities: ZERO, NOTHING NADA....
The moral behind this is that when you buy a Thinkpad with full warranty coverage you`re buying a Company with a laptop as a plus!.....
LET´S TALK ABOUT GOOD EXPERIENCES TOO!!!
Lenovo is very interested in making their customers happy. Sure there is the occasional blip on the radar, but taking the entirety of their service at face value, there is a good reason why they are tops in the industry. Mark is a good example of that value and his dedication to service is outstanding.

Considering the very large volume of sales and repairs that happen, the amount of bad transactions and repairs is extremely low. It is just that the few who have problems are very vocal and their posts stand out since hardly anyone ever posts about good experiences.
It is good to see a positive thread.
Personally I have sent many machines to Solectron for service and I have never had a problem. The repair is always fast, proper and there is no additional damage such as scratching, broken plastics, etc.
I don't doubt these things happen occasionally but so far I have been lucky.
