770z Mobilemeter

#1 Post by Harryc » Sat Oct 11, 2008 2:31 pm

In Mobilemeter on a TP 770Z, I am seeing (4) temperatures displayed. Mobilemeter options says that the hard drive is not capable of displaying temps, so that is not one of them. The CPU is obviously one of them (probably 49*C below). What are the other (3) ? This is what I currently see -

Frequency - 366MHz
Temperature - 49*C
Temperature - 41*C
Temperature - 37*C
Temperature - 27*C
Charge Rate - 0.00W (It's plugged in at the moment)

Other temperatures are usually the graphics card/chip, motherboard and possibly the battery although a hard drive temperature seems like it would be more feasible.
Duct tape is kinda like the force. It's got a light side, a dark side, and it holds the whole universe together...

Thanks for the reply, so we're probably looking at;

Frequency - 366MHz
Temperature - 49*C - CPU
Temperature - 41*C - GPU
Temperature - 37*C - Motherboard
Temperature - 27*C - Battery
Charge Rate - 0.00W (It's plugged in at the moment)

I'd be interested in how the SXGA version of the 770X/Z compares to the XGA after you complete the CPU upgrade. What kind of temps are you getting under intensive use? Also, are you able to get full screen video working?

Here are my temps while watching an episode of the A Team on Hulu.com. :P Running WinXP, Firefox 3.01 and Adobe Flashplayer 10. I'm limited to the standard size clip. Full screen gets me about 1 frame a minute. :|

Frequency - 500MHz
Temperature - 76*C - CPU
Temperature - 51*C - GPU
Temperature - 39*C - Motherboard
Temperature - 27*C - Battery
Charge Rate - 0.00W (plugged in)
Current Thinkpads: 600E, 600X, 701C, A31 (Flexview), R51 (Flexview), R60, T42P (Flexview), TR50E, T60 (Flexview), X61s (Ultralight), Z61m (Ti) Non-Thinkpad: Toshiba 100ct

Probably a bit late, but to determine, what temperature is what device, check with some other tools and compare.

Everest Home shows some temperatures
GPU-Z shows the temps on some newer GPUs (probalby not the 770Z)
HD Tune or other tools show the HD temp
