I'm looking into buying the slim 3-in-1 adapter. Has anyone had experince with it? Will it work on T400? Is it really slim and lightweight? If anyone can compare it to the original and post some photos it would be really appreciated.

It's much thinner but not much lighter. If you have 2.5" external HDD drive, you could compare it to that size. Overall it's bit bigger and heavyer than I had expected. My main concern is the changeable tips: the connector is unbending and could pose a problem when moving around the lapop or using on a bed/couch.

It will work with T400.

Agreed. It's not lightweight at all.

However, the 65W adapter for the T400 is excellent. It's genuinely tiny and easy to carry. (I believe it won't charge the batteries and run the machine simultaneously, but that's a minor issue overall given its portability.)

My T400 came with the 65W adapter by default, I believe because mine has the integrated graphics. It does charge the batteries and run the machine at the same time.

The limitation of the 65w adapter is that under full CPU and GPU load on a dedicated graphics machine, the battery will charge slowly.
