Whole Encrypted Disk and Rescue and Recovery

#1 Post by puma » Thu Oct 16, 2008 10:00 am

Hey guys, anyone here encrypt their whole disk using PGP or something similar? If so how are back ups effected? Especially something like thinkvantage rescue and recovery... can it still take an image correctly or is there something i need to do?

Thanks

Data is data. If you encrypt it, it is still just data. Backup software, imaging software, shouldn't care if the data is encrypted or not--since it is not READING and USING the data, it is just COPYING it, bit by bit.
