X200 Tablet LCD Panel
Has anyone received an X200 Tablet with the LED screen (non-touch)? How is the quality of the screen? How is the brightness, contrast, color, etc. Does it have any graininess. How does it compare to an X61 Tablet SXGA+?
Current Laptop: Gateway PIII 600Mhz 15.7" SXGA (The rest of the specs are too embarrassing to publish).
X200t non-LED screen
I just got a x200t (tablet), but without the LED screen (no multitouch either). Any comments on the quality of this screen?
Just got my x200t with the non-LED, non-multitouch screen. It is fairly...average. Almost identical to the standard T50 widescreen screen, but slightly brighter.
Compared to the LED backlit screen on the Dell Latitute XT, text is clearly not as sharp and the screen is not nearly as bright. Can't really comment on viewing angles, color reproduction, etc since I don't know much about these.
Also, the x200t is built like a tank. There is no flex at all and it is rock solid all around. Really an incredibly built computer.

LED screen
I got my X200T on Friday and it has the LED non-touch screen. It is wonderfully bright and a joy to use. I'm coming from 1024x768 on an X60T, so it is not only about twice as bright but the extra width and resolution is nice. The screen protector on the front seems to add some texture to the image on the screen, but it doesn't bother me. I use my tablet daily as a student and at work, and I am happy with the quality. I have not done any kind of serious color evaluation or tried to calibrate the colors as I don't have access to a calibrator anymore.
If you're doing art or photography, you're going to have a whole different set of criteria than mine by which you judge the screen. If you are really picky about the quality, you'll just have to see it for yourself somehow.
