0190 critical low battery error in my A31

#1 Post by rolando_574 » Mon Oct 20, 2008 10:17 pm

Hi!
I'm new in this forum. Recently my laptop won't charge the battery and don't run with out the battery. The laptops only work if the battery stays full charge but not recognize the charger. I replace the cmos battery, Ac adapter and battery pack but the problem persist. When I try to boot without the ac adapter the system display the following message 0190- critical low battery error.

I would greatly appreciate ideas and/or advice.

9 out of 10 times it's a bad motherboard.
If you search the forum for "0190 battery error" you will find similar posts.
Sometimes it's only your adapter, but since you got a new one already, it's almost certainly the mobo.

Thanks for Reply.
Yes, I think that the problem is the motherboard, because I try with different AC adapters and batteries. In other post I see that other persons resolve this issue when replacing one small transistor. They put photo but the laptop that they mention is a T30 and the motherboard is different. I can't see which transistor need to replace and where is it.
