128GB SSD for X300

#1 Post by eguy » Wed Oct 22, 2008 7:51 am

I think someone asked which 128GB SSD can be used to upgrade an X300. The X300 uses a 1.8" with micro-SATA connector. I know someone who upgraded his X300 with this SSD and he LOVES it. The only place I have seen it is here - http://www.dvnation.com/Samsung-SSD-Sol ... Drive.html . I think the price is alright for a quality Samsung product. They say it has a 100MB/S read speed. No "stuttering" problems have been reported with Samsung MLC SSDs (like they have for other brands). I hope this micro-SATA form connector takes off. I'm tired of the flimsy PATA ZIF connector in my laptop.

I checked and this is exactly the same unit that is used in Lenovo 128 GB SSDs as well as Apple 128 GB SSDs.
