Win Xp Lockup
i have a thinkpad 600e i installed xp and it lockes up at the win xp logo, the bar just stops. if i go into safe mode it works perfect what is the problem with it . i do not have the lates bios is that why, i cant update it becoues my battery dose not work
If it works in Safe Mode it's most likely the video driver. Safe mode uses standard VGA driver, and I've had the exact same symptoms with corrupt video drivers before.
In Safe Mode delete the driver for your video card and change the display properties to Standard VGA. Then reboot and see if you can get into Windows. If you can, download the latest video driver and install it in Safe Mode.
