Fair price for a T61 7658?

Greetings,

I'm exploring selling my T61 14" widescreen 7658-CTO. Factory specs are as follows:

14" WXGA+ (1440x900) widescreen display
Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 "Merom" 2.0GHz CPU/4MB L2 cache
100GB 7200RPM HDD
DVD-R (dual layer)
Bluetooth module
Intel 4965AGN wireless card
Intel Robson Card 1GB
X3100 graphics
Windows Vista Ultimate
2GB RAM (2x1GB DIMMs)
4 cell battery

Condition is excellent. No damage, just typical shine on keys that comes from normal use. Beyond that, nary a scratch. Complete with restore discs, XP downgrade discs, and factory box/packaging.

Currently under original 1-year warranty through early December, although I've purchased the Lenovo 3-year depot service and am waiting for confirmation that the extended warranty has been enrolled.

How much is a machine like this worth?

That was pretty much the exact same laptop I got. Right now I'd expect you can pull in >800$ for it.

Try looking at the Lenovo Outlet site. This will tell you what a new 14" T61 is selling for with a 1 year warranty. Price yours a couple of hundred below this. It appears to be a bad market for used computers right now - the same ones are showing up week after week, month after month, on Craigslist in my neck of the woods and the prices don't seem that bad.

Thanks sktn77a, that's a good point that I hadn't thought about...maybe I'll end up keeping the T61 after all.
