SOLD!rare (unique?) T43 w/ Intel GPU & 15" IPS Flex
the basics:
1872-CTO
PM760 (2Ghz)
512MB RAM
60GB/5400rpm HDD
DVD multiburner
Intel GPU
Intel 2915ABG
bluetooth/modem
Fingerprint reader
6-cell battery (in green, excellent charge, 20 cycles)
Win XP Pro with COA
AC adapter
Here's where the story gets interesting:
Anyone who knows T43s is well aware of the fact that the only resolution offered on Intel-based units was XGA, regardless of the screen size. Furthermore, there were many attempts (documented in the T4x forum) to upgrade these machines with higher-resolution screens, and all of them failed to the best of my knowledge and belief.
Nevertheless, this unit is equipped with 15" IPS SXGA+ LCD. Parts lookup based on the serial number reveals it as being a LG FlexView screen.
From what I'm to understand, this was Lenovo's testbed for an option that was never to reach mass-production. I have no way of proving this, but also no reason to doubt my source from which I had acquired several unusual IBM/Lenovo products in the past, some of which were sold on this forum. There are also several little hints pointing to this conclusion that I'll gladly discuss with seriously interested parties.
No warranty left (another interesting talking point for serious buyers).
I do not claim that this is the only machine of its kind in existence, but is the only one that I've ever seen, heard of, or had reference to. Feel free to correct me if you have proper data proving otherwise.
This ThinkPad is in almost mint condition, some wear on the lid and scratches on the RAM cover on the bottom. Keyboard and palmrest show next to no wear. LCD is downright flawless. Overall, 9 or better on a 1-10 scale.
Many people would consider this to be "the best of both worlds" when it comes to T4x series-no worries about loose GPU, yet with fabulous IPS FlexView LCD. Runs cool and quiet by T43 standards, idling in the low 40s C.
How do I price a machine this unusual? What do I compare it with, when there is no true comparison?!
Asking $475 plus reasonable shipping depending on your location, and will gladly ship worldwide.
Feel free to PM me for high-resolution pictures, or with any questions/concerns that you might have.

Mike,
It does have the partition, however it is pending sale...
If the buyer changes his mind, you're the next in line...
