ATI PowerPlay

#1 Post by ryan1212 » Thu Oct 30, 2008 7:48 pm

My ATI Power Play stopped working. When I unplug AC the system realizes it and the screen dims, but the GPU does not underclock, and my battery lost about 15 minutes run time. (Significant when your battery only has 9Wh left)

NHC used to report the clocks at something like 66mhz when I was on battery, now they stay at 260mhz/180mhz.

I have gone into the ATI display properties, and the box for powerplay is enabled. I tried disabling it, restarting and re enabling it with no success.

Bump because I'm having the exact same issue with one of my T42p's and would like to know how to fix it.
