T23 - Which Windows 2K version do I have or need?

#1 Post by upygiki » Fri Oct 31, 2008 8:19 am

I obtained a T23 and am trying to reinstall Win2K on it. It has a COA in the back, but I am not sure if its OEM or regular retail 2K.

It says
"Windows 2000 Professional 1-2 CPU
IBM Corporation
Product Key: xxx, no mention of OEM.
09N1795 < Not sure what that is.
X08-73013 <this is on the left side of the sticker"

Could I use a regular retail 2k disc plus the COA? Or does this COA only work with the disc that the manufacturer provided?

When it says "IBM Corporation" or anyone else besides "Microsoft" it is an OEM version.

I can flog you a copy of the original Factory Restore CDs for W2K (or XP-Pro) with all the IBM drivers (works only on IBM T2x models).
Neither needs a Product Key actually.
PM me if interested.
