WPA on windows 2000

#1 Post by slaz » Fri Oct 31, 2008 5:18 pm

Hi folks ... anyone gened up on the above ?

I have a couple of 802.11b wi-fi cards that I would like to use with win2k (mechanical reasons - these cards are "flat" i.e. do not preclude use of another cardbus card above them when in the bottom slot). They are working fine with WEP, but - at least the USR one - implied from the support/download site - can work with WPA if running on win xp (which has built-in WPA supplicant I think).
So - how to enable WPA on win2k ?

TIA.

Thanks - but I got to those places before .... mostly threads frm over 3 years ago, and all the links within there are dead :-/

Don't really fancy paying $50 - probably more than the machine is worth <g>.

Ho hum .....

Find someone who is a student, faculty, or staff on either of these three U of I campuses — in Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield.
They can get Odyssea for free here:

Also, check your PM.

Thanks for the link ;-)

It does indeed seem to enable (or at least offer as option) WPA ... but I still can't get either of these 11b cards to work with WPA ... there's a measure of dependency on the hardware involved I think ...
Grrrr .....

Thanks anyway ....
