Bitlocker v. Lenovo Client Security?

#1 Post by jgrobertson » Sat Nov 01, 2008 6:59 am

Running Vista 64 on T60P.

Any experience or advice on the preferences between the MS Bitlocker and the Lenovo Client Security?
  • Does Client Security actually encrypt the HD?
Can both BitLocker and Client Security be installed on the same machine?
If both are installed, can they separately store the keys in the TPM?

Bitlocker and Lenovo Client Security do different things, but they are compatible and can be used at the same time.

Bitlocker will encrypt a partition on your HD, using the TPM. Client Security doesn't do this; instead it uses the TPM to do other things, such as password management and protection of your certificates.
