Connecting X61 to TV

#1 Post by alosito » Sun Nov 02, 2008 6:17 am

I am trying to connect my X61 to my TV via the VGA port. My TV has a RGV (31.5 kHz) port which as I understand is a VGA analog. So I bought a VGA-to-VGA monitor cable and connected both ports with it. What else am I supposed to do? Pressing Fn+F7 doesn't switch between the monitors.

I have never tried this setup personally but you can perform a simple test to see if the TV is being recognized as a display device (aka monitor) by the OS or not. Check to see if two monitors are visible in the Settings tab of Display Properties. If not, the OS is not registering the TV as a valid monitor. IHTH.
