T60 wake from Suspend, asked if Rescue and Recovery

#1 Post by Muse » Sun Nov 02, 2008 2:26 pm

If I've put my T60 running XP Pro in suspend and don't waken it for maybe a couple of days or longer I'm at first asked in a tiny dialog if I want to use Rescue and Recovery. It seems to me that the dialog is missing some information that it used to display. Not having a reason to, I always click No. It appears that Yes is the default, so I don't dare press Enter! Is this typical behavior and is there a way I can change it? It's a bit disconcerting.

This may be its way of trying to tell you that a scheduled backup was missed while the computer was in standby or hibernate. Try running up rescue and recovery and turning off scheduling of backups. I had the same or a very similar problem and this fixed it.
