recovery !!!!!

Hi i have some urgend questions rgd. Thinkpad recovery.....

does IBM use HPA or only partition?
is it connected with a encryption software?
is it only available as option for some models?

It depend model. as far I know. T40/T41 use HPA protected by BIOS. T42 IBM change the partition area called " TYPE 12" its also hidden but you can access via some software.

there has no recovery CD with machine in most case.

HPA was a Phoenix.

On the newer models (like my T42 ) has a microsoft PE.
