570E Video problems

#1 Post by Raere » Mon Jan 10, 2005 4:29 pm

Hi guys,

I use my 570E to watch DivX/Xvid encoded anime a lot. I recently reformatted and downgraded to Win2k to get a performance boost. Now, when I use full screen for my movies, it's blocky around the edges. That happened before the reformat too, but it would display normal when I switched to 800x600 with expansion on. Now, no matter what resolution I choose, it's all blocky. Yes, it's on 16-bit color. I'm using ffdshow, and I've tried a million players. How can I get this thing to display video correctly?

Thanks a bunch!

Edit: Wow, I fixed it myself! I used generic drivers instead of IBM's. It runs smooth as silk now! You can delete/lock this thread now.
