Installing a New 320 GB Hard Drive, New Pull Tab?

#1 Post by Aristotle11 » Thu Nov 06, 2008 6:08 pm

Hi,

I'm installing a new hard drive into my x61t and I noticed the thinkpad video shows a "pull tab" on the old hard drive that needs to be pulled on to get the old one out. How do you transfer the pull tab to the new hard drive?

Thanks,
Aris

It's actually a caddy you use, actually if you look at the ad at the top of the page, from newmodeus you'll see you can buy these if you want to keep two different hard drives in caddies.

Cool! I was worried I'd have to rig up something if the tab was taped onto the old hard drive (which is how it appears in the video). Thanks!
