I am Baertracks on eBay. I buy Thinkpads T23s and T30s for non-profit resale to health workers in Africa (DR Congo), where I lived and worked for 20 years.

I recently created a website where people can donate Thinkpads to be used in Africa (see my signature). I'd appreciate assistance via this forum in spreading the word about this program.

Beware of an ebay id called notebookspares... he sells thinkpad x22's for about £169 he states that they are in great condition ..and in fact they are duff..the one i bought is stuck in a coma...sorry sleep mode!!!

this is the second xmas that i have been ripped off....totally unfair.

I'm fgs7079 on eBay Canada ...

Not a seller ... just a buyer ... have purchased (among many other computer related items), 5 IBM ThinkPads (3-T21's & 2-T22's - for family & friends) ... all arrived in very good to excellent condition (2 from CDA, 3 from USA - all were corporate lease returns) ... all 5 of 'em are still in use several hours per day with no problems.

I have mostly sold on there than bought. Mostly electronics and computer stuff. Once in awhile, I will sell other things. Mostly things that I get at good deals, I will sell them there.

buy only- never sold.
I'm up to 57 thinkpads to date, over the course of a year and a half.
mostly A-series, dozen T-series, a half dozen i-series.
most are 500 to 850MHz systems;
95% are exc. cond., stable; It is my opinion that if taken care of, these ThinkPads will last FOREVER.

My 12 yr old son, 14 yr old daughter and 20 yr old son in college are my field-testing operatives (as well as friends and other family).

note: still have 3 dozen just to play with (or sell locally at cost)

edit: I'm back almost a year later just to toot my tiny horn a bit.

-99.2% feedback- Even though I've received a significant proportion since last time, who knows how eBay figures the percentage.
-276 feedbacks received
-155 feedback from buyers

I've left feedback for 320 transactions...looks like a ton of people didn't leave feedback in my early eBay days!

You can't miss me on eBay, although since I almost exclusively snipe, you won't know I'm around until the last 5 seconds or so....

Oh yeah, rkawakami there on eBay as well.... It's also my work e-mail, my major ISP address (which I should of invested in back when it was only a few dollars/share), my free e-mail account from the Stanford guys now in Sunnyvale, my domain name at .net and .com, and well, you get the picture....
