My sis in New york just got her new IBM laptop and it seems to be kinda dead. It worked fine for a few hours and now the sceen is freaking out. If she elevates the back of the laptop the screen then works. If she pushs on the area to the right of th scroll pad it works. Sounds like she has a short maybe. She is going to call IBM tomorrow. What i was wondering is there a place she can take it for quick warranty repair or does she have to send it somewhere? Or will they just send out a new one?
Thanks in advance.

depends upon where she bought it..
if direct from ibm, then i suggest that she get a replacement..
if the time to get a replacement is inconvienent, then she could find a local service center..
call first to be sure they can handle this as a walk-in..

She was not what you would call refined,
She was not what you would call unrefined,
