Feeler: T20 Parts

Someone gave me a T20 where the supervisor password has locked. It's apparently not fixable, at least not at reasonable cost. I'm looking for a workaround solution, not for the BIOS, but something to get it back up and running like a motherboard or a machine with nothing but the board, the case and screen, where I could swap the parts out. What's something like that going to cost to fix? The cheaper the better because the person who gave it to me doesn't have a lot to fix it. I looked on eBay, the cheapest board I could find was about $45 and the cheapest stripped working machine was about $60. Thanks for any help.

Oh, the machine type is 9647-61U if that helps.
