This sale is the real deal. I've been tracking W700 prices nearly every day since the machines were announced, and these are the lowest I've seen. And the above coupon code from ecoupons.com just saved me a significant amount of money. (I have no affiliation with them, BTW.)

It's worth mentioning that, if you recently purchased a ThinkPad, and if Lenovo shipped it to you within the last 21 days, then you need to check this sale out.

The reason is that, if the sale price is lower than what you paid, then you can call Lenovo and they will credit you for the difference. So you effectively get the sale price. That's what I just did. But you have to do this within 21 days after your ship date. You can also do it if you've already ordered your laptop and are waiting for it to ship.

Also, if you were an educational buyer, you need to check BOTH the new sale price on the educational side AND the sale price on the normal retail side. If the sale price on the retail side happens to be lower than that on the educational side, YOU CAN GET THE LOWER OF THE TWO PRICES. (Don't forget to look for the coupon code on Lenovo's site once you sign in under your institution -- it's on the right side of the page and it's extremely easy to miss. But on the retail side, use the coupon code listed in the link above from ecoupons.com.)

If you need info about configuring a new W700, my ThinkPad W700 Resources Page contains a guide for that (just click on the link in my signature).

Darn. It's been like 29 days since my W500 shipped. Oh well, I got a good price on it anyway.

Today is the second day of the 48 hour sale, but the prices for my W700 configuration today went up significantly compared to yesterday. So they're no longer the lowest prices I've seen for the W700. But they're still fairly good (probably the second-lowest I had seen before yesterday). I arranged for my credit yesterday.

Sales are always ongoing. Check www.ecoupons.com often or signup for our Newsletter and checkoff Lenovo. You'll get an email from us whenever a coupon is out.
