I need to buy a 10/100 internal card for a used T20

Dumb Question.

This T20 (26472IU) came with a modem in slot. Can I just pull the modem and replace with a combo card? I have been shopping some at NewEgg and ZipZoomFly and can't seem to find a card, though there are plenty of used ones on eBay.

I have a 3com modem combo, it is extremely easy to replace, just open the mini pci cover, remove the modem(disconect the cable and remove the card like a piece of memory) and insert the new card, and connect both of the cables that are in that bay. Search EBAY for "IBM mini pci" you can get one for 15-20 shipped. Any more is too much.
