LCD question

#1 Post by pdudas » Sat Nov 15, 2008 5:47 am

Hi!

I have a T60 with XGA screen and X1300 VGA.
Type:2007-F2G. In this model the builtin LCD is 13N7052/13N7053.

I found an SXGA+ LCD for T61P (8889-3DG). FRU 42T0373.
The seller says it is a 30pin LCD (LG Philips LP141E05).

I tried to find them in the hardware maintenance manuals, but my t60 is type 2007, the T61p is 8889 so they are not in the same HMM.

Does anybody know if it will work in my T60?

Thanks in advance!

T60 requires that the display has an EDID EEPROM chip with Lenovo specific contents. For example T4x screens mostly did not have this chip at all and so you cannot use a T4x LCD in T60.

I'm not sure what's the case with T61 screens so that's a topic you may want to look into first.
