#1 Post by guanghua19 » Sun Nov 16, 2008 1:43 pm

Up for sell is an IBM X31 2672-JHU. The original description from lenovo.com is:

P M 1.4GHz,
256MB RAM, ----------------------> upgrade to 1GB = 2 x 512MB
40GB 4200rpm HDD, ---------------> upgrade to 40GB 5400rpm
12.1 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD,
Bluetooth/Modem(CDC),
1Gb Ethernet(LOM),
IBM 802.11a/b wireless(MPCI),
Secure chip,
6 cell Li-Ion battery, --> good condition (95 cycles 45.17/51.83 wh)
WinXP Pro

Known issues:
1. Normal Wear on the top and bottom. The keyboard especially shows wear (see photos) but fully functional.
2. 2-3 light spots (pressure spots) on the LCD. Not very noticeable when the LCD is on (see photos).
3. All the logos are gone. MS XP, Intel Inside, COA.

Pros:
Bluetooth and wireless are built-in.
Restore to factory XP, upgrade all the drives. You could create a set of restoring CDs using the installed IBM software.

The laptop comes with a big AC adapter.
Ask for SOLD+ shipping ($10 to CONS) other places need more.

Optional upgrade:
A compact AC adapter for X31. -----> $15
Logitech Bluetooth mouse v470 in good condtion ---> $30

I accept personal checks, money order, or secured paypal payment (fund from balance or checking account).

so just to be clear, it has no COA?

do you have anyway of verifying a legal installation of XP then?

NO COA, the XP is restored from backup CDs. You can verify it from MS website. The CDs are created using the factory installed software.

so if you restored from CDs, do you have the media slice dock for this unit? Is it for sale?

I'm going to buy either an X31 or netbook this week so I am not yanking your chain.

Thanks,

David

I had a media slides before but sold it about 1 year ago. Since then I used an external DVD burner which can be shared by my Shuffle desktop and X41.

I have a port replicator for this x31.
