X40 feeding external widescreen lcd?

#1 Post by CurtisBilly » Wed Jan 12, 2005 1:42 am

Has anyone had any experience feeding the x40's VGA output to:

a 1920x1200 widescreen monitor:
e.g. Apple 23", HP L2335

or a 1680x1050 widescreen monitor:
e.g. Apple 20", Dell 2005fpw

If so, can you comment on dvd playback (assuming that you have an external dvd drive)?

Thanks in advance,
Curtis

I have a problem with my new X41:

It does not support a resolution of 1920x1200 for the external display HP L2335.
It only supports 1600x1200 with that display connected.
Intel Tech Support told me that the driver supports all modes up to 2048x1536. It ould be a problem of the X41 Video BIOS.

Do you had success while connection high resolution displays to your X thinkpad?
