Drive Space ShutDown

#1 Post by 1stallthewayaj » Wed Jan 12, 2005 10:35 am

People: SOS SOS SOS!!!
After I get my 600E booted up, and it gets past the Win Logo Page.... I get a pretty blue band about 3'' wide at the top, and all black the rest of the way down. Then I get the message: Drive Space Alarm #12.
Program is corrupted by Memory belonging to Drive Space. Drive Space has halted computer to save files.....

How, pray tell, do I get out of this predicament????

No need to be insulting!

How are we supposed to know what you've loaded on your computer that would give this error message?

Do you have Truelaunchbar installed with the Drive Space plug-in?

Are you running W95 with the PLuS pack? Then it's a low disk space alert based on a threshold you set.

More info needed please.

Thr system is 98 factory ( Beta, I assume).... also, I was getting messages that I needed to free up space on my 'C' Drive.... which I didnt do!!!

I dont know what else to tell you.... my computer ignorance is showing...

Hi AJ,

You'll have to forgive me, I had my head up my [censored] most of yesterday and it gave me a [censored] view of everything!

It appears to be an alert that your HD is, basically, full. Go to: http://search.microsoft.com and do a search for "Drive Space Alarm" and see if any the results fit your exact situation.

If it were me with the problem, I'd BOOT from a W98 floppy and see if I could erase/move some files to free up disk space and try booting again.

Regards,

James

Drivespace Problem

#7 Post by 1stallthewayaj » Fri Feb 04, 2005 10:45 am

Hi James:

I got the problem solved!!! I got the answer out of a Boot Disk!
I turned on the machine and caught it just before Windows began to load,
then pressed the Control Key and held it down until the menu appeared allowing me to get the OS into Safe Mode!
Anyhow, I got it straightened out!!!

'Preciate your assistance....

Glad to hear it. So, what was the problem? Full HD? Not even room for the swapfile?
