LF Feeler: ThinkPad R60 Keyboard

#1 Post by ZaZ » Wed Nov 19, 2008 6:29 am

I might be in the market for a new keyboard. My R60's keyboard seems to have developed a dead spot right where I usually hit it. It's on and off, sometimes working other times not. I'll pop it off re-seat the connector just to make sure it's not that, but was wondering what a replacement would cost? I have the NMB keyboard and I like it. If could ensure another, that'd be great. Or if anyone has a suggestion on how to fix it otherwise, I'm all ears. Thanks for any help.

One more thing if I may, does anyone know were to get a screw for the hard drive cover on the R60? I tried the local hardware store, but they didn't have anything. I dropped mine on the floor and haven't been able to find it. I'm sure it'll turn up as soon as I order another. I've got something to hold it, but it's silver and doesn't look right.

It's not really that big of a deal. I just thought maybe someone would know where to acquire one. Thanks for the replies.
