Questions on Combo Cards

I am working on an R31 (2656-dau) and want to finish fresh install of os and updates while using the ethernet connection rather than the wireless network. I have the 26p8172 combo card and understand this is only combo modem/wireless card, not ethernet/wireless combo card.

Original description: PIII 1.0GHz (256KB), 128MB RAM, 15.0GB HDD, 13.3 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD, 8x/4x/24x CD-RW, 802.11b wireless (MPCI), Modem (MPCI), Ethernet, Li-Ion battery, Win2000

Is there any way to get all three, ethernet/modem/wireless with only internal cards??

You have a separate LAN connection, probably on motherboard.

If you want a single card that will handle all three (LAN, modem, wireless) I'm tempted to say that it doesn't exist, at least I've never heard of one.

Well... Strange, but make sure you check the easy stuff before you start ripping apart the lappy. Bad port on the wireless router!! I rarely use the wired ports.
