Feelers/LF: Thinkpad around $200

#1 Post by r2d2 » Fri Nov 21, 2008 12:30 pm

A friend of mine is looking for an IBM Thinkpad priced around $200. May be this is too low but I cannot think of any other place that knows about this stuff other than here.

I have no idea what model this price can buy that is why also I made this post. We checked eBay and found many G41 but of course I told him we are 'safer' with the members here.
Best Regards,
Rosh

A T23, X30, or maybe even an X31 would be good choices.

I have a T23 that I'm getting ready to sell. The price would be $150-$175 depending on the configuration. Send me an e-mail if you're interested: james@arndtcomputer.com.

Unless you planning on using the ThinkPad as an immobile server, the G41 isn't a good idea. I think it weighs close to 9 lbs.

In the $200 range, I recommend a T4x, R5x or X4x.

I wouldn't go below a Pentium M cpu (or USB 2.0).

Thank you so much for the information.

I am surprised to know that I can get a T4x or an X4x in the $200 range. This is getting interesting.

Again thank you so much.

Rosh
