Multimedia Offernigs (Roxio) installation problem on Vista

#1 Post by Eudoxus » Mon Nov 24, 2008 6:45 am

Recently I tried to update Multimedia Offerings package on my ThinkPad R61. However, during the installation I got the message that windows installer was stopped by DEP (Data Execution Prevention) and when I tried to launch Roxio after installation I trhows up the message:

"The certificate file is missing or has been corrupted. Please re-install it."

I launched the setup again to repair the app, but the same thing happened again.
I dsiabled DEP, but no dice. The same scenarion happened again.
Can anybody recommend some solution to the problem. It seems to me really strange that something like that happens to the bundled software.
I described the problem on lenovo forums
