My USB Ports have turned 1.1 on me :( Beginning of the end?

I found a couple posts in this board that said my southbridge was to blame for this USB issue. Is this the beginning of the end for my notebook? Will other issues inevitably start to pop up in the near future?

This USB 1.1 instead of 2.0 on T4X machine issue has been around for quite some time. Don't panic. That Southbridge thread was a major breakthrough..at least we know how to repair it. If you are not able to make the repair yourself, seek out a local shop who can. I know a guy who does GPU reballing. I might mention this problem to him to see if he's willing to put together a price structure for Southbridge repair on T4X's/.

does the USB 1.1 symptom occur on both ATI GPU ant Intel mobos (here R5x included) or only on ATIGpu T4x's?
