XP SP2: Hibernate & Resume on T61 with 4G RAM (3G visibl

XP SP2: Hibernate & Resume on T61 with 4G RAM (3G visible)

I typically disable & disconnect wireless and network as well as undock before I hibernate. Similar "clean" resumes also.

Lately, my hibernates have had buggy resumes. I get a Blue or Black screen with some "Parity Error" etc. At times it goes on fine.

When I got the T61 & the 2x2G from outside I had run Memtest86+ for several days and nights on it. Did not find any issues.

What can I / should I do as a plan of action?

1) Test again with Memtest86 to see if RAM has developed issues?
2) Note the Error that comes through? and report it here?
3) Do some kind of Upgrade / Patching on Windows XP?
4) Some kind of Linux that has an ability to use 4G RAM and Hibernate & Resume so as to do an actual check of the RAM besides the MEMTEST stuff?
5) Some other Diagnostic Tool to check for that?

Do let me know your thoughts?

Have you tried to recreate the hibernation file?

How? By Disable / Enable Hibernate?

yes, disable, restart, make sure there is no "hiberfil.sys" file under c:/, and enable hibernation again.
