New high capacity HDD for ThinkPad T400

#1 Post by Czechnology » Fri Nov 28, 2008 7:29 am

I'm looking for a bigger drive for my T400 and I plan to get a 500GB (or 400GB) one.
As far as I've seen, there are just these two available:
Hitachi Travelstar 5K500 (500GB), and
WD Scorpio Blue WD5000BEVT (500GB)

Any opinions on or experience with these disks?

The Hitachi drive will not fit (physically) into your laptop as its height is 12.7 mm (and only 9.5 mm drives fit).
Here are three drives that should fit.
