Left Arrow Key Replacement

#1 Post by selvan777 » Fri Nov 28, 2008 6:45 pm

My left arrow key popped off accidentally and I now have 3 pieces that I can't figure out how to replace.

1. The black key with the white left arrow painted. The 2 pieces (1 black, 1 white) attached to the bottom is still attached.

2. What looks like a lock of some kind in the shape of a "U" but with sharp 90 degree bends rather than the curved "U". It is black. There is a little difference from one side to the other and I figure out which goes toward the keyboard.

3. And the rubber open cone shaped spring like thing that sits with the wider end on the keyboard.

I've been toying around with it for some time and can't figure out how to snap it all back together.

Can anyone tell how to do this?

Thanks.

Selvan

Try this (coincidentally it's the same left arrow key):
