WTB: Laptop HDD for my T42 (PATA)

#1 Post by Vasant56 » Sat Nov 29, 2008 1:46 pm

Hi guys,

I'm looking to purchase a new hard drive for me T42, minimum size would be 160 but I'd prefer 250. Any sellers out there?

Thanks!

I suggest you review the threads is this HDD ok with T40p? and T42 replacement HDD - sata interface ok and Western Digital Scorpio 2.5" 5400 Hard Drives..Any Opin to get an idea of the options... i.e. the various brands, capacities and users opinions etc. Also, it may be useful to see use-feedback for various 2.5" PATA HDD's at Newegg's site.

The largest 2.5" PATA available today is the Western Digital Scorpio WD2500BEVE available for only $80,- Try Serach this forum (for "WD2500BEVE") for user comments about this drive in various ThinkPad's.

If my T42p is indeed dead, as I suspect it is, I'll have one of the WD 250 GB available in a week or so. I will let you know ifthat happens
