Problem with Intel WiFi link 5100

#1 Post by zhk-t500 » Tue Dec 02, 2008 11:15 am

Symptom:
Wireless connection lost when running on battery occasionally, when it happens, connection status shows "limited or no connection", if I try to open ThinkVantage Access Connection, it is not responding, end task and restart Access Connection won't help. and "Network Properties" is also not accessible, so I can't disable and enable wireless adapter to fix the problem.

all other computers have no connection problems in the same network while this happen to my T500.

the only thing I can do now is to restart the system every time it happens.

any clues how i can fix this problem? or just keep cursing vista...

Do you have a physical switch on the front to turn it on and off? I'd just git rid of access connections, it always just gives me issues anyway.

Hi, zhk.

Are you using Vista-x64? Is your wireless network using WEP or WPA-based encryption?
