It is possible to get an extended warranty and Thinkpad Protection on this model? I don't see it listed. Maybe I'm just missing it?

Well, I planned out my T510 system in the Visa Cardholder pages on Sunday and saved the cart. Today I saw the USPRESIDENTSDAY code for another 10% so I decided to pull the trigger. Went into my saved cart and found the price for the unit went up about $130 and my 10% code saved about $160. So they raise the price and have a sale. I would have saved $30!! The coupon did not apply to added warranty or to the two docks I had in the cart.

So, I'm holding off.

yeah...a base T410 on SPP went from a price in the low 800's to high 900's.
at least the coupon makes it "normal" again.....

Wish I qualified for that student discount. That's a great price.

I just configured a T410 with the 15% Fathers Day savings (which ends today) and my price was over $1,300.

I'll have to wait for the next sale.

Looks like now. I just got this email from lenovo announcing their 4-day, 15% off summer deals event.

EDIT: Well, scratch that. When I clicked on the email link, it configures the order with the 15% discount already applied. Trying to add the eCoupon code in the shopping cart gives the error: Coupon not valid for current shopping cart.

The T410 I have been trying to configue comes up retail $1,920 and then $1,444 with the discount, but that's more than 15%!?! Its more like 25%. But its the same discounted price I came up with with the Father's Day sale, the 4th of July sale and now, the Summer Deals sale, so I'm confused

EDIT again: With the help of a friend, I was able to get a T410, with this same configuration for $1,166 + tax. I placed my order 07/09/2010.

Great thread.... is the 10% coupon for a T410 the best deal out there currently..? I had a separate coupon for 5% off but it doesnt seem to allow multiple ECodes, or am I doing something wrong...?

Through those links, how much does the prices fluctuate from day to day? Are there certain days or holidays or parts of the month where the deals are better? I'm wanting to get a Thinkpad for my wife but I'm willing to wait a little for the best deal.

Just a heads up... I went online today and custom configured a T520... saved the cart and then got an Online Sales Rep... after a bit of haggling, they offered to bring the total pre-tax purchase down by 16%. Not sure if this is the best deal out there, but I thought it would be good to mention this here.

Unfortunatetly I didnt buy the machine, as the 2 weeks lead time does not coordinate with my US schedule... I guess the only good news is that I will now have to wait for the T520s or a T530...???
