T41p recovery cd....anyone use this site?

#1 Post by dbrunone » Thu Dec 04, 2008 1:36 pm

So my 60gb HD died on my T41p. I bought a new 160gb WD drive, but I want to do the system recovery. Lenovo wants $50 for the discs, has anyone used this site to order discs?? Theyre $30 shipped:

Or anyone know where I could get these CDs for cheaper? Machine is 2373GEU. Thanks

You could try posting a WTB in the marketplace.
I had never heard of that site before. If you try them let us know how it turns out.

Yes, I got set of T42 disks from him. They shipped fast, and were legitimate IBMl disks, but he shipped the entire stack of 7 disks stacked right on top of each other, they were not packed in any sort of sleeve or protective case. Disks didn't look scratched though, and function perfectly.

It's a fancy name for the T/R500 (and possibly T/R400).
