G40 CPU / G41 motherboard

Greetings all

i) I have been searching for a 3 GHZ P4 (or failing that a 2.8 GHZ) to upgrade my G40 (2388-3SG) but they seem to be rarer than rocking horse manure. Does anyone have any idea where I might find one? - Fleabay doesn't seem to offer any help.
ii) What is the difference between the motherboards in the G40 and G41 that allows the latter to take a CPU of up to 3.46 GHZ - presumably it must be able to handle a CPU with an FSB speed greater than 400 MHZ at least.
