A21m PCMCIA Wifi Card issue

I bought a cheap Realtek PCMCIA wifi card - RTL8185, and it will not work with a fresh install of Windows XP on 2 different A21m laptops that I tried it with. I tried it in an A30 and it works perfectly. I searched the forums the best I could and didn't see anything about this. Can anyone shed some light on why this would be, or a solution ?
