Ok need help buying...............

#1 Post by teladoy » Mon Dec 08, 2008 9:12 pm

I love this machines but so many MODELS drive insane because I discover them 6 months ago,
As some of you know I have a 600 give to me by a good soul BUT the 600 can watch you tube or other video.
My question is what MODEL should I buy that will allow me to see video.
I mean the 3 most affordable models that video can be seen.

Thank You

One good model is the T23, it has PIIIm processor, 133mhz of FSB and 16mb of video which is enough to watch DVD's and videos on you tube.

The T2x series also sports loud speakers which later models do not have at all.

Would you care to elaborate on this most unusual statement?

Don't get a T20/T21/T22.
Go for a T23 as mentioned before, because it has better graphics and can have up to 1GB of RAM.

I just meant to say that the T2X's I have encountered have speakers capable of making significantly more noise than later thinkpads (Z61T, Z61M, T60). Just mentioning that it was another advantage. I am not sure how the T2X speakers are compared to the T4X series, but the T20 I have has fantastic speakers compared to 99 percent of the newer machines Ive fiddled around with.

George, I believe he means the T2x ThinkPads can drive the speakers at a higher volume than some newer models can. Having owned several T2x's and an R51, the volume difference is substantial.

EDIT: Ok, I see he answered while I was typing. Dial-up sucks.
