Clock is slowwwwinnnnggggg down.

#1 Post by jack914 » Fri Dec 12, 2008 6:09 pm

I have had clock problems of the clock needing to be reset if the computer has been off disconnected from the docking station for more than a day.

Now the clock is running slow and getting slower.

Is this a hardware problem? What do I need to do to fix it.

Thanks,

Jack

The CMOS battery might need replacing. How old is the machine and what type is it? The battery is under the palmrest next to the TouchPad area in a T4x if I'm not mistaken. You can consult the Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM) for disassembly instructions (do a forum search for more information).

Good luck,

Tim

This has step by step instructions on how to remove everything. There's also disassembly videos on the Lenovo site.
