Trying out X22 to help decide whether to purchase X40?

My sister recently got a 15" T42 but feels that it may be too large for her. Her husband just brought home an X22 that his company lent him for the weekend, and it looks awfully similar to the X40. Could my sister basically use the X22 as a reference for the look and feel of the X40? She could care less about processing power as all she does is use MS Word and email people. As far as weight and ergonomics go, is it fair to say that if the X22 works for her, the X40 will be even better?
