what to do with extra laptop hard drives
i have like 2 and soon to be 3 extra hard drives and an ipod which i also use as a hard drive. none of them are really big. one 80gb 5200rpm, another 40gb 5200rpm and another one 40gb 4200rpm. any idea how i can put them into a good use?

I believe you mean 5400RPM. Sell them? Put them in external cases and use them as portable backup drives? The use of drives really depends on what you do. Store pictures, store music, store ghost images, backup important data. They're not really big enough to warrant buying a NAS or raid array for them.
