Can't Boot T500 from BartPE boot disk - blue screen

My new T500 just arrived. Before booting it up for the first time I tried to make a backup image of the hard drive by attempting to boot from a BartPE disk so I could run Acronis True Image.

The BartPE boot CD got part way through the boot process, then I got a blue screen saying something was wrong and I should should check my hard drive and run check disk. I've been able to boot any other machine I've ever had from BartPE, can anyone tell me why the T500 is balking?

Change sata to compatible.

Or create new bart cd with sata drivers for this machine.
