Help...what's wrong with my Screen?? **link to image**

#1 Post by kris-mommy-of-three » Wed Dec 17, 2008 3:14 pm

Hello,

I am new to the forum but have heard amazing things about it :) I am hoping that someone may be able to assist me with my issues as well.

I own a T60 (2007) and the screen has gone crazy on it. One day it was perfect and the next it has some yellow line/patch down the right side.

We were able to correct the problem by moving the screen around. As it got worse, moving the screen didn't work. I ended up folding up a tiny piece of paper and pushed it under the "screen cover" (top right corner). This also worked for a while.

Eventually, nothing worked and we always had the yellowish patch. I brought it to a friend of ours that works on laptops and he suggested that it was probably the inverter. For some reason he removed it, and when he put it back in, the screen never worked again.

Soooo, I ordered an inverter online. That came in and now I have a screen again, but we also still have the huge yellowish and now blue patch.

I am attaching a picture that I took 5 minutes ago, in the hopes that it may help someone figure out what is wrong with my baby.

Thanks so much in advance :)

Welcome to the forum!

Chances are that you need a new LCD...

Good luck.
