Screen goes blank randomly on my T60

Ok, I only browsed the first page of forums, and decided to post.

When I run the laptop on the battery pack, sometimes and at random intervals the screen will just go blank. To get it back I simply hold the Fn (function) key and the F7 key twice, once to simulate the external monitor (which I dont have) and then again to bring it back and it works every time, its just weird that it happens.

Anyone else heard of this?

Yes I am experiencing the same problem with my Z61. Trying to search this forum for resolution.

I am having the exact problem with the exact same solution (on a T60). I do not think I've always had it, so I wonder if it is related to a settings change or a software update. Please share if you sort it out.
