Guide to exchange the keyboard

#1 Post by moijk » Tue Dec 23, 2008 9:18 am

I bought a replacement keyboard (Norwegian layout instead of the english one i got when ordering mine overseas to save money), and I wonder before I start cracking on the laptop if anyone have a howto on it? I prefer to take the right path instead of taking too much apart.

Thanks

It's easy. Nothing but the battery needs to come out first. There are 4 screws on the bottom with a keyboard icon. You need a good phillips screwdriver, size 00.

And now I'm writing with a Norwegian keyboard

#5 Post by moijk » Wed Dec 31, 2008 7:30 am

and the keys are where I'm used to. the ' is on the place I'm used to, the øæå is written on the keyboard (I know touch, but if I lend it to someone they'll find it) although they are not in full size. the <> is also where I'm used to it beeing.

So thank you for your help. And to whomever else want to do it - it is very easy. just unscrew, push down close to the power button to get it up so you can take out the old one, pull up from the mount and then push down the new, put it back in place and screw it in place.
